Gumbo Live! is back with a new season! Our third show was a big thrill -- thanks to our friend Carla Kopp at Weird Giraffe Games, we were able to chat with Jason Hager & Darren Reckner (a/k/a "The Durdles") about their new game on Kickstarter right now called LOGIC & LORE! 

We also talked about some spicy hot games we've played recently, including:

• Unmatched Adventures: Tales To Amaze (which they designed!)

Gumbo Live! is back with a new season! Our second guest is Don Eskridge, the designer of THE RESISTANCE and AVALON and ABANDON PLANET and a bunch of other cool games!

Don came by the Gumbo Pot to chat about his brand new book HAND GAMES 21: NEW GAMES FOR FRIENDS & FAMILIES. It's a hoot with some great family style dexterity games.

BJ and Steve welcome in a content creator who is also deep diving into the world of designing board games on Episode 144!  This time, The NameFather has invited Liz Davidson, reviewer with Beyond Solitaire's YouTube Channel and podcast, and the co-designer (with David Thompson) of the upcoming game, Night Witches, from Fort Circle Games to talk about some spicy hot board games!

We mix in a lot of ancient history jokes (Liz is a Latin teacher and a student of ancient history) in with some really bad board game puns.

The big feature was a deep dive into MERCHANTS OF MAGICK, and the two brand new expansions hitting Kickstarter this week from Rock Manor Games!  Mike and Clarence tell us about the development, give us insights into the game process, and talk about all the new content!

And finally, it's not Gumbo Live! unless we play a game with the Chat Krewe -- this time Steve and I and Clarence go head-to-head with Mike Gnade's brain, in THE ENVIE GAME. But there's a shocking twist as to the winner! You'll have to listen to the Chat Krewe's contributions to believe it!
